Description
A white to almost white crystalline powder filled in clear, colorless glass vials.

Composition
Sterile Piperacillin Sodium I.P. eq. to Piperacillin – 4000 mg, Sterile Tazobactam Sodium I.P. eq. to Tazobactam 500 mg

Uses
C – PIP 4.5 gm Injection is used for the treatment of infections of respiratory tract, urinary tract, intra-abdominal, skin and skin structures, and bacterial septicemic polymicrobes.

How it Works
C – PIP 4.5 gm Injection is a combination of Piperacillin and Tazobactam. Tazobactam works by killing the bacteria responsible for infections. It also inactivates the bacterial enzyme that acts as resistance mechanism against Piperacillin thereby helping the Piperacillin to function optimally. It is injected into a vein usually every 6 hours.
